In its regular issue, “Irates” newspaper has referred to Chief of the RA Police Valeri Osipyan, pointing to the “problematic situation” in the police.
The matter particularly refers to the human resources outflow that has allegedly started in the police. According to the claim by the newspaper, the number of Road Police officers has dropped significantly.
“․․․For that reason, according to our information, the police officers of the nearby marzes often work in the capital”, the author states.
It should be noted that since May 10, when Osipyan was appointed Chief of the Police, only 9 officers have left their jobs at the Road Police based on their own requests. During the same period, 28 people have been employed by the agency.
Moreover, a few days ago an announcement was issued on the admission to the road police. As a result, 124 people have applied, of which 75 are in the phase of taking exams.
Regarding the police officers that allegedly come from marzes, the Road Police conducts enhanced service on the streets adjacent to schools. For that purpose, marz divisions of the police are also involved.
