News outlets spread one-year-old news

In recent days, an article titled “The map of ‘Sea to Sea’ Armenia has caused a turmoil in Turkey” has been actively circulating in the media. The article reads that during an event organized in Cologne by the Diocese of Armenian Church in Germany, a map was displayed on the big screen, which caused a stir in the Turkish media.

“The Turkish media’s anger caused the fact that the German political circles made no comments about the map. It was also mentioned, that the map caused controversy in the on-line platforms especially among Turkish users.”- reads the article.

The media outlets spreading the news cited website www.ermenihaber.am/am, which is a two-language website providing news in both Armenian and Turkish.

As its source of information the website cites Turkish media outlet Haberler where we can see that this is an article written on October 22, 2017.

Thus, the Armenian media is spreading one-year-old news.

The Turkish source also states that both the event organizers and the German authorities shared their response about the picture.
