The video about Pashinyan on X is a blatant deepfake

A video is circulated on social media in which a girl accuses Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of child molestation in poor Armenian.

The Fact Investigation Platform has revealed by special tools that the video shared by the given user account is fake, deepfake, generated by artificial intelligence, and the accusation made in it is groundless. Moreover, the statement in the video that Pashinyan allegedly insulted Elon Musk is also false. Pashinyan has never made such an assessment or qualification about Elon Musk, as stated in the text attached to the video. Thus, FIP.am revealed that the girl’s poor Armenian speech in the video was generated by artificial intelligence. The video published on April 23 has more than 1 million views.

Deepfake Total has set the average deepfake score at 100.0%. This means that the audio portion of the video has a 100% chance of being deepfake, meaning the voice is completely fake. Numbers close to zero indicate real, not fake human speech, while numbers close to 100% indicate that the voice is fake.

Even unaided eye can see that the look, eye movement, and facial expressions of the character in the video are unnatural. In addition, the reflection of light on the face does not match the background.

In addition, the said user account on X shares combat footages and viral videos. Such user accounts often publish unverified content for entertainment purposes.

There were also calls on the same network to block the account.

Thus, the video circulating, in which the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan is accused of child molestation, is fake, deepfake generated by AI.
