Zeynalyan uses the official car for personal purposes

On September 5, 2018, “Luys” alliance held the grand opening of its pre-electoral headquarter. Artak Zeynalyan, the leading candidate of the alliance list for Yerevan Mayor, participated in the event.

It is noteworthy, that Zeynalyan arrived to the event in a ministry car Toyota Camry (license plate “007LL55”), whereas he did not have the right to do so.

The procedure for provision and use of official vehicles is defined by the Government Resolution N 194-N, adopted in 2005, according to which state officials shall use the official car provided to them exclusively for the performance of their official duties.

It is clear, that the duties of the Minister of Justice do not at all entail opening of the pre-electoral headquarter. Zeynalyan arrived at the pre-election headquarter in the status of a mayor candidate.

Moreover, the video also shows that Zeynalyan is driving the car himself then he is parking in a prohibited area, creating an obstacle for other traffic participants. As a result, the cars were forced to come out to the opposite traffic lane.
