Commenting on the publication “Misuse of Administrative Resources in Schools and Kindergartens by the RPA”, Republican Party Vice President Armen Ashotyan announced that it is a campaign against his party.
Ashotyan blamed “Union of Informed Citizens” NGO in lack of objectivity, claiming that the organization has specifically targeted his fellow party member principals.
We should note, however, that all the calls were made exclusively on a random basis to telephone numbers that are available on the internet, where the party affiliation of the principals is not mentioned. We assure that we would have called and even visited all the Armenian schools and kindergartens had we had the proper resources.
It is also natural that the random calls revealed that the principals mainly work for the Republican Party as this party currently rules the country, and, hence, possesses the main administrative resource.
Moreover, the RPA deputy president also claimed that if the principles have done the work not within the framework of their official responsibilities and not during working hours, then it is obvious that there are no violations here.
In response to this claim by Mr. Ashotyan, we are publishing the extract of the calls, where we can see that the calls were made during working hours only and mainly to office telephone numbers. Moreover, it was almost impossible to catch the principals at work after 16:00.
Hence, a natural question comes to mind. If the principals have done the work after the working hours and outside of workplace (as the Republican Party claims), how did the lists appear in the principals’ office rooms and office computers?
And finally, we should note that the responsibility for finding irregularities lies on the Armenian law enforcement bodies, a thing that the “Union of Informed Citizens” has pointed multiple times during the recent month. SUT.am team has just shown the place of apparent violations and possible perpetrators by helping the Police and not undertaking their responsibilities.
