As it is known, the republican candidate Donald Trump has won the US elections that took place on November 8. Mr. Trump’s election campaign was accompanied by various scandalous statements.
However, starting from November 12, numerous Armenian news websites started to spread information according to which Donald Trump has allegedly just told the reporters, “Friendship with Armenians is very important for me. They supported me during elections, they are my business friends and, after all, they are a clever nation. I will do my best to make Armenia a flourishing country”.
As the websites that published it did not give any source of information, we decided to search for that statement and its source in the Internet.
It did not require any significant efforts to find out that there is not even a trace of such a statement of Trump about Armenia or Armenians. Searches with different combinations were fruitless.
Hence, it can be reasonably argued that publications about promises to “make Armenia flourish” have nothing to do with reality.
