The news over Vachagan Ghazaryan’s money being returned to him after confiscation is fake.

Hraparak Daily referred to Vachagan Ghazaryan, the former head of Serzh Sargsyan’s guard service, stating that the confiscated money from Ghazaryan had been returned back to him.

Referring to some unknown “information” and sources, the newspaper writes: “Recently the money of Serge’s Vacho has been returned to him. His cousin, a Russian-Armenian businessman, presented in front of the law enforcement agencies stating that the money belonged to him and that he had given that money to Ghazaryan so that the latter would save it for him. We have been trying to contact Vachik Ghazaryan to hear his comments on thise, howver he has not been answering our phone calls for 2 days.”  

This nonverified information spread widely across the internet and news websites,  whereas, the it in fact did not correspond to reality.

Vachagan Ghazaryan’s lawyer, Armen Harutyunyan, was beweildered by this fact and said he had no idea who would spread such information. He stated that the mentioned information had nothing to do with the reality.

“Vachagan Ghazaryan’s money has not been returned to him and we have no idea who is spreading such information through press. The news over the returned money has nothing to do with reality. This is all I can say.” – said the lawyer.

It should be noted that the informaiton published by Hraparak mostly touched upon the National Security Service and the criminal case over March 1 events, as well as Robert Kocharyan’s children. The newspaper, again referring to some “well-informed” people, wrote that it will be hard for the law enforcement officers to prove the mentioned fact.
